Chris Hanson

Managing Director

Chris is a Managing Director with Protiviti in our Business Platform Transformation group in the Pacific Southwest. He has worked in both industry and consulting implementing a variety of technologies including several leading ERP applications. Chris worked with a variety of companies across several industries and served as the Chief Information Officer for Pioneer Electronics where he was responsible for the development and implementation of Pioneer's IT initiatives for the Americas. In addition to Pioneer Electronics, Chris served as a leader within various worldwide business and IT consulting practices, including KPIT, BearingPoint and Arthur Andersen. Chris has over 25 years of business and technology experience, including:

  • Business requirements definition, solution design, and software selections
  • Implementations of leading ERP, operational and customer facing systems
  • Business process redesign focused on operational efficiency, effectiveness, quality and control
  • Business Transformation Projects - leveraging SAP S/4HANA

Major Projects

  • Lead PMO for an SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation and business transformation for an Aerosapce & Defense industry client. In this role, assisted with the selection of overall systems integrator, established overarching governance model, strategy and tools, established overall program risk management plans, and managed third party vendors and system integrator. Established mechanism to measure value realization and to maintain and manage scope.
  • Led an SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation and business transformation for a Medical Device Manufacturer. As part of this project the company was able to implement the core S/4HANA functionality leveraging best practices and reduce total cost of ownership and maintenance costs by significantly reducing application enhancements compared to their legacy environment.
  • Led a large SAP S/4HANA business transformation project for a Manufacturing industry client that focused on overall simplification of the client's application architecture and laid the foundation for the roll-out of shared services and a reduction in total IT spend and maintenance costs. The implementation leveraged SAP's best practices and Activate methodology.
  • Led the brownfield migration effort for a high-tech company from SAP ECC to S/4HANA including the analysis of functionality gaps and improvement opportunities, required code corrections and data related changes. The project modernized the client's application architecture and laid the foundation for continuous improvement to support the client's rapid growth.
